Perfect, a little gem. already tried it out, took three good sized spuds. Fabulous jacket potatoes crunchy outside skins soft fluffy potato inside.

Jackets come out perfect in the centre. Only the bottom skin is crispy so they could be turned. Trying with oil on skin next. Really love it! Tested in the fire. The device is perfectly sturdy for the direct great BUT comes to temp so far in the embers that in 30 mins with oil wiped on them we totally burned the pots! When brought out of the oven the temp came down super quickly from over 100 to 50. Of course very heavy so best to keep on top of the stove and be patient.

Ideal item to take camping to entertain the children when mum and Dad acting like young teenagers 😂

Tried this for the first time today. Cooked the potatoes through beautifully. Obviously potato skins weren’t crispy. I don’t know if there’s a way to get crispy skin, something to research.

Solid cast iron useful potato pot. I’ve cooked potatoes in this regular and it’s perfect. As the fire is on make use of the heat so get cooking. I’ve also cooked a small beef joint in there so it really does open up various dishes to be cooked in there. Great to use especially now energy is so expensive.

Haven't tried it yet but seems good quality and very well packaged. Value for money.

Para hacer pan estaba buscando una cazuela tipo horno holandés de hierro. La mayoría son muy pesados y difíciles de manejar si están muy calientes, y para hacer pan en ellos hay que tener mucha fuerza en la manos y muñecas. Yo hago panes pequeños con 500g de harina, me gustan en forma de barra grande. Esta cazuela con forma de cápsula ha resultado ideal para hacer el pan que buscaba. No he calentado el cazuela, no he precalentado el horno y ha salido un pan magnífico. También lo he utilizado para hacer paté, aunque para esto compraré otro, ya que la cazuela queda muy manchada y quiero que la de pan quede limpia. Esta cazuela tiene una forma y un peso que no es fácil de limpiar, pero si eres amante del pan de masa madre en formato pequeño te será de utilidad.

This item is impressively old school well made, read the description carefully, was bigger than it looks/imagined. Better for campfire/fireplace than wood stove. It was so well engineered and built that I would strongly be interested in anything this company makes!!!

Ein Produkt das man sicher nicht unbedingt braucht aber als ich es gesehen habe musste ich das Teil unbedingt haben. Qualitativ wie alle Petromax Produkte verarbeitet und wie alle Gusseisen Teile super schwer und man muss auf die Pflege achten. Wenn man es aber gut pflegt hält es wahrscheinlich ein Leben lang. Die Kartoffeln daraus schmecken super ich lege unten immer ein Salzbett aus grobem Meersalz rein damit nicht zu viel Hitze von unten ran kommt. Und das gute ist auch das man keine Alufolie mehr braucht die soll ja eh nicht so gesund beim grillen sein. Im großen und ganzen ein tolles Männerspielzeug.
