I'm not sure if it would answer your needs, but here it is. Measure your canvas height and width then multiply them by each other to get the square inches. Multiply the square inches by 0.1 to get the ounces needed to cover your canvas. To convert to grams, multiply the ounces by 28. This is only a rough guide as the paint consistency will affect coverage, i.e., the thinner the paint, the fewer ounces needed. **Q: What is the effective difference between normal matte medium and the matte fluid medium?** A: The normal matte medium will only produce a matte effect on the paint. The matte fluid medium will give the same matte effect, but will also lessen the viscosity of the acrylic paint you’re mixing in making it thinner and slightly more transparent (depending on the amount of medium added). **Q: can it withstand high heat ?** A: Yes it will but I wouldn't put it outside in the direct sun. You would need a varnish for that. ## Frequently Bought Together - Liquitex BASICS Gloss Varnish, 250ml (8.4oz) Bottle - Liquitex BASICS Gesso Surface Prep Medium, 473ml (16-oz) Bottle, White - Liquitex BASICS Acrylic Paint, 250ml (8.5-oz) Tube, Titanium White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://guatemala.desertcart.com/products/337796292-liquitex-basics-gloss-varnish-250ml](https://guatemala.desertcart.com/products/337796292-liquitex-basics-gloss-varnish-250ml) --- *Product available on Desertcart Guatemala* *Store origin: GT* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
