I know writing to DVD's isn't in fashion so much anymore, but Verbatim puts out a consistent high-quality product. Used in combination with a high-quality DVD burner, you can't go wrong.

The discs work well (recording and playing) and are easy to label with Sharpie markers.

Usually I like that the quality of the discs are great. I have used many of these and hardly ever had a problem. Of this batch though there were I had 8 discs from the middle of the stack that were of low quality and would not record on my computer. this was distressing to me.

I sell several DVD training courses through my YouTube channel and I am always needing blank DVDs to fill those orders. In the past I was able to get blank DVDs at my locak Fry's computer store but that chain went backrupt during the pandemic so I have had to look elsewhere. I found these Verbatum disks here on Amazon at a good price with fast shipping. The disks came unopened, in the original packaging, in perfect condition. And the order arrived quickly. I have had no problems with this Verbatum brand and I will be ordering these disks again, in fact I already have. I can highly recommend this seller and these disks.

I got really frustrated as I couldn't get any DVD to finish burning. I was getting an media write error at different stages of the burn process. I tried writing at different speeds to no avail. After about 20 failures with my 2010 iMac, I got my 2012 Mac Book Air with a USB Superdrive, and everything is working as expected, no errors at all. Several DVD's completed with no issues. I still don't know why they wouldn't work on the iMac though. I have burned many DVD's in the past with it with no issue. Maybe it's getting too old =(. I left a 5 star review as I am assuming that the DVD drive in the iMac is the issue and not the DVD's themselves, as I haven't had any issue with the MBA and superdrive combination, but I don't know that for sure.

I have had this issue with a few discs on a spindle before - the outer edge data surface looks "scratched" or "rippled". The drives in my computer will usually write to them, but then DVD players won't be able to properly read the discs. Typically the problems will be with a few discs in sequence off the stack and then the rest in the stack will be fine, but the last couple of stacks I've gotten have had more and more bad discs in them. This last time, the first few discs I used worked ok, then I started getting failures and checked the rest - probably 85 out of the 100 discs on the spindle have the screwed-up edge, so I trashed the rest of the spindle. I will no longer buy Verbatim discs - ordered another brand - we'll see how they do.
