Do this item contain Steroids ?

As far as I know there are no steroids in the Cetaphil Body Wash. It was i beleive always suitable for babies, so steroids would not be included. However I am not a chemist, so if you are still worried it may be best to ask the cetaphil company direct.

Is this a gel or a cream and does it lather up nicely ?

The product is more of a lotion. It will lather up if you add water.

It does foam slightly if you swish it around in a bowl of water eg. to wash feet but I wouldn't describe as very foamy.
