Question 1

Looking for splitter with 1 female & 2 male tips so that strip 1 (up inside a cabinet) & strip 2 is horizontal (under cabinet). Will this work?

Accepted Answer

These worked great for me. The have removable male pins so they are either sex...depends on what you need. buy a few extra male adapter pins.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6DWK4Z/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1I had cut a foot off of some three foot extension lightstrips and simply reused them at other locations thanks to these splitters. Also the extension ten foot and three foot are great!https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQCE4KG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1IF lightstrips are connected with reverse polarity and don't work, so just flip it over and plug it back in.I like these litcessory products. Well made.

Question 2

How do I plug the 10" extension into the smaller 6 pin Philips model # 71901 female connector to the transformer?

Accepted Answer

Hello Kurt,If you look at the contents of the Lightstrip Plus, the LED lightstrip has a short lead attached and shrink wrapped to it. If you cut away the shrink wrap off the lightstrip, you'll see that there's a standard 6 pin connection. You can disconnect there and insert a splitter to achieve what you're trying. I used (https://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Philips-LightStrip-Plus-Black/dp/B01M17KZ04/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1494118002&sr=8-8&keywords=lightstrip+y+adapter) to "Y" the connection into four different strips (using 4 "Y" splitters attached to one another end to end) for under shelf lighting. They're all controlled by a single controller (so they're all the same color / brightness). You can also use extension cables (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FRVS7UQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) or (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZJ8NIO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to get the extra reach you need.Hope this helps and answered your question.Tom

Question 3

Im looking to make 4 runs of strip lightsfor 4 different shelves but i want to use just one plug and one controller.

Accepted Answer

Hi there. You can use multiple splitter to accomplish this. If you need to connect a cut Philips Hue lightstrip to a splitter, you will need to use our Cut-End to 6-Pin Connector Cable first, which you can find here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NDHT4W9
Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any other questions! We are always happy to help.

Question 4

It appears that the splitter will allow me to run the light strip around a inside corner. Correct?

Accepted Answer

If you're just wanting to run cord around an inside corner, you don't need a splitter to that. Amazon sells extension cables from 6 inches to 10+ feet long. The purpose of the splitter is to allow two light strips to run off of a single feed.
