This is “SMOOTH” newsprint regardless if the picture posted.

The title says smooth, newsprint paper but the picture shows rough surface. Is this a smooth surface pad?

It is a smooth surface. I do not recommend to buy this one.

Would the rough texture be good for oil pastels?

It’s too soft a texture for pastels. This is more for sketching and charcoal.

Does it becomes yellow over time?
