Lovely finish and colour
I wanted to update my kitchen. Nothing wrong with my cupboards so I decided to paint. Paint was great- easy to apply, no odour and went on smoothly. I used a brush and roller.I did prep the cupboards first as advised.

Great cupboard paint, easy to use
Easy to paint with a brush or roller. I was just doing kitchen cupboard fronts, so I masked off the edges with ScotchBlue tape and rollered it with a 4" foam roller. No drips if you keep it thin. When wet, the grey looked a bit yellowish, but it did dry to a nice neutral light grey. A couple of months on it still looks great and seems tough and durable. No problem if I have to repaint, as I bought 3 tins and used only 1! That was rollering 19 flat cupboard door fronts and 5 drawers, plus a large wooden box - 3 coats each. Painting with a brush would have used more paint. Washes out in water.

Pretty good coverage, looks great
I purchased this paint for my kitchen door renovation, despite it stating that no undercoat is required, I still used undercoat. To obtain a nice finish, I used two coats as this got an acceptable finish using a good quality brush. The tin does appear to be rather small, but it is as stated 750ml. the paint is quite thick but covers quite well, I will have to wait and see whether there will be enough for my 9 doors and 4 draws - but as its well priced, buying another tin will not be an issue. So far, I am pleased with the end result, I will have to wait and see how the durability is though.

Brilliant
My cabinets where looking tired so I decided to paint them , I eventually settled for this paint for 2 reasons first it had the colour I was looking for and second it was a really good price compared to others , I can honestly say I was absolutely pleased with the outcome , I'd never painted cabinets before so I followed the advice given on the tin , first coat I was very apprehensive as to how it would turn out , but when I put the second coat imo they look brilliant , a total transformation , I bought 2 tins but barely used any of the 2nd tin , it spreads really well , paint quality is excellent , I used a small brush & a small roller , coverage is really good , i can heartily recommend this product ๐

Fabulous; would recommend
I used "antique cream" on kitchen cupboard doors, which had been a white-ish colour to start with. So far have only done one coat, but might do another. I will see how it settles. I have used half a 750ml tin and painted 11 standard-size kitchen cupboard doors. The paint goes on really easily, but the longer you use it the thicker it seems to be to spread, but still good. I put it on thinly because any runs are very unforgiving and really stand out. It took me a couple of hours, it does not smell, and dries really quickly. I am really pleased with the result. I always find Johnstone's paint good, and would definitely recommend this

Takes way more coats then I expected..
I wanted to update and freshen up my 1980s wardrobes without the cost of replacing them, it was a long drawn out job, from other reviews and what it said on the tin I thought it would take 3 coats of paint but that was not the case, to get full coverage and an even colour i had to do 7/8 coats of paint (I started to regret my decision at about 5 coats in as you can imagine) , I used a roller as the brush didn't give a good finish and it caused drips in the paint, yes it has freshen them up so I did get the end result I was aiming for but even with that amount of coats of paint re-hanging the doors did cause a few chips and scrapes in the paint which I had to touch up so I wouldnt like to say how long it will look nice for which considering the hours and hours of work i put into the project is disheartening but it was a gamble painting them that it wouldn't be a long term answer, I hoped it would be more durable as the paint is designed specifically for cupboard doors. I haven't tried cleaning it yet so I don't know how it will withstand being cleaned, time will tell. I was happy with the end colour, the more coats I did the more depth of colour I got as it looked more white to begin with and not cream, it took almost 4 tins of paint. I have posted before and after pictures so you can make your own decision on whether you think it's worth all the hard work!
