I used them for swimming 4 days straight in Mexico in the pool and ocean. I love the fit, length, and design. There is no liner and I like it that way. When swimming in the ocean I always wear tight speedo shorts underneath so I don’t get chaffing on my legs. Saltwater does that to me. For the pool it’s fine without the base layer as long as you don’t mind going commando. Haven’t used for fishing yet but looking forward to wearing in the kayak and using the pliers pocket while standing up. Love all the pockets. Plenty of room for wallet, keys, phone, etc while walking around. One picture shows how the material shrunk and embroidery did not. Mine have had no shrinking at all. I also didn’t put it in the dryer after washing. It’s swimsuit type material so it line dries pretty quickly.

Great shorts

I live very close to a beach and love board shorts. I found a pair of these at a local surf shop and loved them. Can't believe I found them on Amazon! Now I need them in every color. Very durable, fit great and have tons of pockets. Highly recommend!

I'm hard to fit- I am wide shouldered and short, with large thighs and calves. What a catch... A kilt fits perfectly; so do these board shorts. E commerce for cloths presents a risk-benefit challenge; I'm so happy with the way these fit. They are at the knee, and spot on at a 34" waist. The color (grey) is rich and saturated. The design is stylish and fun. The material feels great and I imagine would dry quickly. I have not worn them in the water yet...but it's 'gonna happen. Theses are already easily one of my favorite all-time board shorts. Proud to wear 'em, worth the $$$! TBD: No zipper, instead there's Velcro. Not sure how the hook/loop material will hold up to abuse (think seaweed, or jellyfish) and fading in the sun/ocean- pool is a given Regards, Dustin

There run true to size ... Perfect fit!

The problem with men’s board shorts, or swim shorts in general is the lack of pockets and durability. Although these are not cheap by any means, you pay for what you get. These are perfect for a day at the beach or a hike to a waterfall. Keep your phone and keys in your pockets with just enough stretch and comfort. I own 4 different graphics of these shorts and love them. I tossed all of my other board shorts.

I'm really happy with my purchase of these board shorts. I've been searching for the right board shorts for awhile now that check all my boxes. Finally my search is over, these are the ones. Very comfortable soft inner fabric they don't chaf your skin. Plenty of pockets for everything which is exactly what I wanted. Heavy duty Velcro front closure and lace front tie. I was a little concerned the 38 would be to big because I usually take a 36 but the 38 fit perfectly. They are a little on the baggy side but that's ok lots of room for movement. The price was very reasonable considering all the features and quality and workmanship in these board shorts.

These shorts are awesome just for the beach busy double for fishing has 1 hard inner pocket for tools and a flip out pocket small one for well small stuff lol definitely buy these

Size 34 fits like all my size 32 jeans. The 32 was too small so had to exchange it
